I know, I know, it's cheesy, but me and the wifey does make Valentine's Day kinda special. We were good friends (no, not *that* kind of friends :lol: - I'd always had many more female friends than male friends [who tended to be a "core" group of just 2 or 3 other guys that I'd be "brothers" with, essentially], so I've always had a policy of "friends don't do that to friends" - after all, it's hard to stay friends after you've porked someone) throughout college, but we didn't start dating until just after Valentine's Day of our senior year.

We took a road-trip together about a week before Valentine's Day, and it suddenly hit me that duh, what I'd been looking for had been right in front of my face for the past 4 years. :lol: Yeah, I'm kinda slow like that. :o

I went and stuffed her car full of 12" red heart mylar balloons (a small fortune for a college student), but put a rather noncommital "I love you, friend," card on her steering wheel. She ran over to my apartment and kicked down the door (well, almost....), and about slapped me in the face (she did call me, and I quote, "an asshole"), demanding to know just what in the heck this rather confusing message meant.

Like I said, I'm kinda slow, like that. :o

So from then on - since 1997 - I've been buying 20 to twenty-five 12" red-heart mylar balloons every year.

Great!...he is getting to be so much fun. He is past the lay there and sleep phase ya know...

It just only gets better!! I love the phase from 6M to 12M, when they begin to sit up, play with things, and starts to walk. Once they hit 2yrs it's all down hill and all hell brakes loose....:lol:
