Was referred from 2.5RS forums, and since I don't have an RS, I figured I'd sign up for the LGT forums.
got a 1998 LGT and a 1985 GL turbo, but I'm trading the GL in and getting an RX7 TT or 300ZX TT.

Welcome to the forum!
I also have a '98 LGT. I bought it used in 2000. At the time, I was torn between getting a 2.5RS and the Legacy GT, but, after driving them back to back, the LGT won me over. Much nicer interior, better ride, same power.
I got my '05 in mid-'06, and have been really loving it!

Welcome Sarra!!
IMO, get the 300ZX. The RX7s have alot of issues, and the most common ones are their transmissions.

We've got a 2003 Outback wagon, but I like my 4.11's better. I don't think I'm going to be getting a newer car, I'm saving up right now to drop a 2.0 shortblock in under my DOHC heads. Then I'm going to supercharge this car and make it a beast.

I'm torn between the 300Z and the RX-7. I'd love to get an FD and convert it to a T04e single turbo, or even twin-charge it... I think an '87 TII will be the winner, there are so few 300Z's around here. Can't find any 3000GT's VR4's either. :(

Sounds like you enjoy modding! I can put you to work on my car too... :D

I had a 91 RX-7 and I can tell u that rotary engines suck. You can't even start 'em up and shut 'em off until u reach operating temperature or it will flood. They are light engines and they rev high but even the RX-8 owners drive around w/an extra quart in their car cuz it just goes right out the tailpipes. I worked w/a guy that had a 300ZX TT and a newer C4 (I think 93-95) and he said the Z outhandled and was faster than the Vette by far.

Yeah, I know the RX-7's burn oil. I don't really care that much, I just want a fast RWD car for summer, and I've always wanted a RX-7 TII. I'd convert to a single turbo and go all out on it.
welcome.
i say get the FD, i foreget which one it was, but get the other rotary engine.
FD has the 13b, i think it was the 14b or something from a different car

I could get an FD shell and stick a 20B in it, but that's honestly more work than I want to do. :( Or I could buy a custom built 4 rotor setup, and Twin Turbo it (parallel turbos).
I've also thought about doing a swap into a Silvia. I'd rather buy an RX-7.
HI! Welcome. RX-7 and 300zxtt are both cool cars. Just get both.
never really liked teh styling on the 300zx
I liked it. A friend traded his maxima for a zxtt and let me drive it. Couldn't see anything at night even with his HID's though, so I had to take it easy.

Yesterday, I picked up: WRX exhaust manifold, TD04 turbo, WRX driver's seat, and WRX front brake brackets. Then I spent 6 hours installing the brakes and seat. :D I'm impressed with the driver's seat, though I need to figure out how to swap the seat mounts so I have original seat height.
Next, rear brakes (already have big brake rotors), and then a WRX block.

Hey, with it up at it's max height, my head touches the headliner! I'm used to sitting so low that the hood is invisible! :P

That is not safe. :(
Are you going to be able to get it fixed?

At minimum height, it's okay. I have just enough room between my legs and the steering wheel that I'd be okay in a wreck.
