Trying to figure out if I should grab some 225 50R16's for my car, or if 215 50R16's would be a better choice.

If you go 225, I recommend doing 225 45 16

I thought 98 LGTs make like 165 HP brand new and since its now 10 yrs old your probably high mileage and not even makin that much. Are u heavily modded? AT or MT? Your not happy w/your current tire size which is? A 225 is gonna make it handle better but it'll be worse in inclement weather. Are u AXing or u just want the wider tire look?

Because the 225's are cheaper than stock size.
It's getting a WRX shortblock w/ 2.5 DOHC heads, and a supercharger.
I've got 195 65R15 snow tires for winter.
I had 205 55R16's for summer, but I want more grip for running mountain roads.
Dookie, 225 45R16 would leave it undersized. Stockers are 205 55R16.
It's gonna rub in the back on hard turns. I had 205 55R16's on 16X7" wheels with a 46 offset, they stuck out 9mm further than stock (and about 13mm further than my snow tires), 225 50R16's would stick out 10mm further than stock. Hmm... Anyone got a fender roller? I really wanna roll those rear fenders. :p

Who makes superchargers 4 Subarus? I had a s/c on a previous car and I like it better than a turbo at least comparing ATs. Although an s/c on my AT might kill the trans at least thats what the early hitters w/upgraded turbos say on .com. Maybe its different tho.

Sorry, did know the size of you stockers. Go with the 225 50R16 then, since you want to hit the twistys during the summer.

How many miles on the car?? Might not be worth the money to try and get power out of it.

Before I actually bought the car, it was still on the lot. Notice the crappy wheels. http://biyofan.joeyteel.com/LegacyGT/img_0304.jpg
These tires rubbed in the rear... http://biyofan.joeyteel.com/groundmod/img_0414.jpg
Here's what it looked like until I put some 1991 SS wheels on for winter: http://biyofan.joeyteel.com/groundmod/img_0415.jpg
I'll get some more pics later on with the winter wheels/tires on. I need to paint these wheels really badly!
