ok so im looking at a 2005 subaru legacy 2.5 gt limited. it has 23,000 miles and it is 20,000 do you think this would be a good car to choose for the money? i cant get anything that would be considered a sports car because insurance is to much.

does anyone that have this car like it or dislike it? any things that you really like or dislike about it?

Is this car fairly easy or cheap to modify also becaus i would like to get into that.

Sounds like a good price 2 me if it wasn't beaten or wrecked. My insurance agent told me it's considered a high-performance car and they deal w/multiple insurance companies. He said it's determined by the VIN, but I live in PA it might be different in other states. Don't expect more than 24 MPG & u gotta use 91+.

if it is considered a high performance car then it might not work for me but if im already paying for it would there be a better car to buy for them money.i like the all wheel drive but i would like a traction control i could switch on or off.

gas milage isent to much of an issue as long as it is resonible. how much would it cost for a new intake and exhust and possibly some ofther mild upgrades?

Check with your insurance agent, my LGT is considered a sedan and not a sports car.

I'm not sure what cars have on/off traction control, maybe Benz, BMWs.
A new K&N typhoon intake is abut $220 shipped(recommended intake by tuners). As far as exhaust if u mean cat-back (CBE) u can get a Magnaflow 4 less than $600 shipped up 2 Cobb/Perrin which is over $1100. Mild upgrades, I would get an AccessPORT($700 new). A larger intercooler $700-$800. Other exhaust parts vary. There's a large power/suspension aftermarket 4 these cars.

thanks for the advice and i hope its nt considered a sports car by my insurance company. im ging to call them tommrow. i went to look at one and test drive it and i have to say i liked it a lot. i have driven a g35x and i think with just some mild upgrades that it can compeat with cars of that power.

^ With mild upgrades, you'll be more than keeping up with a G35x, or any trim/vehicle level, especially from a standing start. :)

A "Stage II" LGT pretty much drives like a stock STi in the straight-line.
