I am thinking of going with azenis. I have heard they react better to the heat. Anyone have some input on this.

RT-615 > RS2 > T1-R for competition.

Not that great, but I did manage around about 20k out of em...

What do yuo expect though for a pure performance tire?

Figured as much. When you lower your car without RCA you will have negative camber, correct?

You might get some but it won't be enough to effect wear. What you probably got was alot of toe out up front...and toe is the big killer!

I had a debate like this for a bit on the other site.

I wouldn't even try to compare the T1R... The R just glorifies the T1S name.. they are almost the same thing.

between RS2 vs. RT-615, I think it should also depend on the size.

In a 225/45/17, the RT-615 is reinforced. Its got a stiffer side wall. The RS2 isn't like that.

I was going to go the RS2 route but in the last minute I changed my mind and got the RT-615. I'm very happy with it. Installed them and a set of Whitelines sways to complement my GP Motos.. even the hardest corner I've tried... no slip yet... and I really AM an aggressive driver.

Expect more noise from the RT-615... I think most likely more than even the RS2.

Of course, The T1R are still just a street tire at heart. Probably the lightest (with the least sidewall) but probably the best wet weather performance, and have a long wear life. Good for someone that doesn't compete in any motorsports but still not even a consideration for myself.

As for as the RS2s go, I like them. They're probably a better street tire then the RT615s. They're lighter (again sacrificing sidewall) and have a better wet pattern.

In the end though, I keep buying RT615. Grippiest street tire available with an amazing sidewall stiffness. They're not bad in the rain, I don't drive like an idiot in the rain so I've been OK even at lower tread depths. I spoilied myself with these everyday on the street and now I can't "step down" to anything else. :D

My experience is based on the tire experience as a whole, not just recent ones.

I'd probably have to agree. I have yet to hit the limit of this tire... and I've thrown the car pretty agressively at corners.
