Hi !
It feel like about "99%" of all who drives a LGT have 18" wheels, will 19" fit or will it be a problem?
A friend asked me if a want to buy his Zito GTR 235x35x19 (black/silver), they look great but will it be a problem with the drivning or so?

I think it depends on the offset of the wheels, the tires shouldn't be a problem @ that width. But there's people here more knowledgeable than me about wheels.
You can probably fit 235s on 19s, but I bet you'll have to roll the fenders.

Ok. I`ll sum it up:
If I want to stay out of trouble I`ll go with the 18" wheels that I already have :-)
Maybe I`ll put on some lowering springs. Any recomendtation?
Maybe one of those?

My understanding is just getting springs isn't recommended(u should get struts 2 or coilovers) but if that's the way u wanna go I would get these. I heard good things.

Coilovers yes, but for the moment there are lot`s of mods I wanna do, so belive it or not, but sometimes the money is a limited factor ;-)
I`ll think I test a set of lowering spring and next summer get coilovers.
Anyone got an idea how much I can lower the car without get bad comfort and handling?
Cobb: 1.75" in the Front and 1.0" in the Rear
H&R: 1.5" in the Front and 1.3" in the Rear
Eibach: 1.0" in the Front and 0.8" in the Rear
Tein H-tech: 1.2" in the Front and 1.2" in the Rear
Tein S-tech: 1.5" in the Front and 1.5" in the Rear
If you drop the car with springs, the stock struts/shocks will wear out quite a bit sooner than they would using the OEM springs.
Just another $0.02 worth.

You can go to cobb tuning and buy lowering springs and front and rear sway bars for $590 plus shipping. They tune subarus all day long and they said it would look great and you wouldnt lose the comfort of your ride.

I thought on .com some1 said Cobb springs aren't designed 4 the stock struts. Probably unclemat he's had more suspension setups than any1.

According to the seller here u don't need 2 roll the fenders 4 235/35/19x8 +48.

Nice wheels and still for sale... why, to expensive maybe?!
I get your message boys and agree that the best thing would be to buy coilovers at once but i feels like the costs just runs away for the moment. I problem with me is that I want to do all the mods known. The spring is about to come here in Sweden and soon it`s time to do a little bit of crusing! :)

My LGT is white, but I could never put those wheels on it. If anything I'd like gunmetal or flat black.
Never really understood the attraction which the subaru community seems to have towards gold(ish) wheels. Or pink - a local gal has pink wheels on her sti.

Personally I think 19"s r 2 big 4 our cars, 18"s r perfect.
Yea the gold wheels rarely look good on LGTs but it depends on the shade.
Funny, there's an STi around here w/pink wheels 2, saw it @ a car show I was @ last year.

I think gold wheels looks nice on black or white cars, but mine is red so it wouldnīt look to good on that one.

Some ppl think gold looks BEST on red.

I never thought I would be a person that would put colored wheels on a car but I think eventually I'll be puttin bronze 18s on my GRP.

Bronze is good. Also consider gunmetal.

It all depends on what your final goal is for your car.
If you just want the looks and ghetto status (DUBs), go with the 19s. When the wheel well covers the tops of the wheel, IMO it doesn't look good.
If you want the sporty look go with 17s or 18s. This way if you do lower it, the wheel well will be level with the tire giving it the sporty look. Plus you'll have better suspension travel, without the worry of the wheel rubbing inside the well or fender.

Sounds true to me Dookie. I`ll buy what you are saying!
Sometimes I just can`t stop myself. You know, first I say to my wife if I just buy these 17" wheels then I will be satisfied but after a couple of weeks I just have to have 18" wheels and so on... :)

Just keep telling yourself 19s ride like sh!t and the tires cost more, thats enuf reason 4 me + like I said b4 I think its 2 big 4 this car.

Punchline: Don't get 19's!! They WILL ride like **** because you'll have to run a super-low-profile tire with higher PSI. Those tires are more expensive and pinch easier when you hit a pothole. It DOES look like poo IMHO. And the added cost could be put to better use elsewhere on the car.

havanisda and kagenmateer: Your message is lound and clear and I get the point :)
I will go with my A-Tech 18" with Nytro tiers and maybe put the cash in coilovers insted of 19" wheels :)
By the way, is A-Tech a well known brand in the states? I have never heard of it here in Sweden.

looks like a nice combo in the pics  Can't wait to see pics. If you go with springs I can only speak for H&Rs since that is what is on my car. I love them. They ride pretty close to stock but I can feel a difference around corners where it counts.

Are you looking to lower your car or just performance?? If you are looking to lower, I really don't think you will be happy with H-Techs.

I am looking for a good combination of look and perfomance. The "problem" is that I got a souch good deal in the Tein springs that I just couldnīt say no. It`s like this, I live in Sweden and here (in the hole country) there is just my car and another one, and the owner to the other car was selling a set of Tein springs to me for a good price. As I live in Sweden there are som cost for shipping when ordering fron ex the US and now I didn`t had to pay that extra money.

I've been on my H Tech springs for 2 yrs now and just love them. Not too low and not too stiff, they are a great all round spring.

Ya know, if I'm being quite honest, I've never really liked the gold on red. I know it's popular and the general consensus is that it's a good combo, but it's just not for me. Don't get me wrong though, that car looks hawt! Just mho.

At first I didnīt like the combo at all but I could not refuse buying the Superleggera when the oportunity arrived :)
My first idea was to go with black wheels with a crome edge but that combo has plenty of other cars here in Sweden. I have never seen a Legacy with gold wheels here so now there is not any problem for me to pick out my car at the parkingplace :9

I also think that it will be a cleaner look when the new springs are on. I have also bought the Spec.B grill and new taillights (red/white), so there are yet some things I will do with the car. I think that all updates will be done in the beginning of june (DP, UP, springs and new a exhust as well). I`ll get back then with more pics !
