Eclipse 7200 MKii with 8V preouts going to a JL 300/4 and a 500/1 that's running an Infinity "Perfect" sub in a new fiberglass box. I've also got some Polk SR6500 components for the front and Polk Momos for the back, so those go in soon. Also installed a Viper 1 mile range 2-way alarm with remote start, backup battery/siren, glass-break sensor, two windows modules (4 windows up and down), and trunk pop. It's been quite a project, but it all turned out pretty good. I'm stoked!

Oh, I got tired of waiting for a cheaper dash-kit solution to arrive, so I did the storage cubby location thing. Man was that a PITA! Anyhoo, here's some pics!

Is there a chunk missin outta your carpet above the sub? Other than that it looks good. U got some rattles? Like license pl8, etc.?

It's funny you should notice the carpet...I thought the same thing when I looked back at the pic. That's just where the carpet ends and you can only see that if you crawl in the trunk, then look back and up...so no biggie. I bet yours is the same if u go look at it. Anyway, no rattles whatsoever. Bonus! I still plan on putting in a ton of Dynamat regardless.

No rattles even from outside the car? Wow! the only car I ever heard that didn't rattle w/a decently powered sub was BMW. If that's the case I wouldn't even use Dynamat then, why add the weight unless u think you can get it or want it 2 b louder?
I'll have 2 check my trunk carpet tomorrow.

I use Dynamat for its sound benefits.

That's awesome!

You made great use of the storage compartments above the spare tire. I'll have to remember this next time when I decide to upgrade my system again. Have you notice any overheating issues when the cover is down?

None whatsoever. Although, I don't really push the system for any length of time.

Did you make the custom sub enclosure or is it a pre-fab for the LGTs?

Made it...fiberglass. It was a bit of a project, but not really hard work or anything. Just a process.

Cool, you should do a write up on how to make these. It would be very interesting to learn.

Holy :censored:, I totally missed that! :o

I thought all that stuff was taking the place of the space-saver doughnut.

Damn, that's really, really awesome!

Thx...I used the shop at my work to do it, so I couldn't leave my camera laying around to do step by step pics, but I do have a buhjillion pics of how the deck and amps went in if ne1 wants to see them.

Thanks man. It was a challenge to make everything fit nice, but I wanted to make sure I have a spare should the need arise. I should say again, though, that the deck was the hardest thing to do.

Please do, start a thread in the interior forum and post some of those pics. I would like to check them out.
