Hey guys, Im happy to report to the new members section of the forums. I just drove my second subaru home, but this one is better than my first- a 97 legacy SUS. This evening I pulled into my driveway in an 05 Legacy 2.5GT. The odo reads, 102---, which is a little higher than i would like, but the price was right. I was able to flip my 2nd vehicle, a 97 Toyota Tacoma SR5 V6 4X4, for the exact same price that I picked my GT up for...... not too shabby.
I just finished school this spring, and as much as I would like to mod my GT, I cant really afford anything too extravagant.
For now Im hoping just to clear and tint my headlites, tint the tails, mesh the grill and get a plexi bug deflector.... oh and debadge the rear, of course:D
Ill post some pics after I get my GT, which I dubbed 'Bagheera" (cuz itz black), washed and waxed.
I did have a couple questions for any vets who might have some answers.
-Any probs when the odo hits 6 digits? Do, for instance, these new subies still have head gasket problems around 125K?
- What do most of you guys/gals use for oil? (synthetic vs SAE)
- How bout any other helpful tips for new owners.
