I had a set of azenis st-115 tires. I beat the crap out of them for maybe 2000 miles. They are dead. THe treadwear rating on the tire I belive is over 300. My question is, does the treadwear mean nothing once you begin running the tire at high tempretures? I had a set of kuhmo 711s that lasted way longer. I know I need an alignment, but these tires would be so hot after a run.

I plan on getting a set of the azenis rt-615's next. Just want to know if treadwear is tested at a certain temp.

Treadwear is given by each individual tire manufacturer so you can't compare them between brands but AFAIK they don't test any any certain temp. I'm a almost dead positive the wear you're getting is because of lack of an alignment because RT-615s have a MUCH lower treadwear and I got WAYYY more than 2k miles off of them.

Try Kuhmo ASX.......Rating 420.....they stick like glue and seem to last forever (Or till they wear out...whichever comes first??:))
