Though I may not support all motives for military action, I support the troops nonetheless. They're not choosing to be there afterall..

3/4 of the National Guard unit that augemented our Brigade HQs where volunteers. They had to turn people down who wanted to deploy.
I was a volunteer.

I was a volunteer. Honorable of them, but current situation still has very questionable motives, not to mention outcome.

Are your friends in the Military or are they Civilians?
If they are in the military...then they did sign up. If you want to continue the back and forth :argue: I will look around here for a better thread to discuss it in. If you are bored with the discussion then that is fine with me. :D

Military, but of course. Sure, they signed up, but this is before the "campaign" started...they didn't hear of the situation and think to themselves.."Oooo, I wanna go!"

I feel bad for all the people who are stuck over there because they wanted tuition money. Like that "One weekend a month my ass" pic. It's nice that people support the troops, and I do too. But I'd never join an organization that doesn't take care of it's own and exposes our people to gas, etc. I love living in America, but the government really sucks.

I'm runnin' out of support. We've been sending my buddy in the 10th Mtn DVD's every couple of weeks. I've raided all the used racks at Newbury Comics so we're down to movies like Legally Blonde. Only military themed one I've sent is "A Soldier's Story" which happens to be one of my favorites. But the last batch also contained The Whole Nine Yards with Natasha Henstridge and Amanda Peet.
We've got four left to send - lucky he comes home in April......
PS. CPT J - do you have a larger version of the Support Troops graphic above?
