Lowering your Shift Knob

Hey guys, just got my MOMO shift know for my 05' GT. It looks a little awkard as high as it is. Can't find anywhere about loweing it like an inch or so. Any recommendations? Can I just saw it down an inch like on other cars?

Yes you can saw it down and use a die to retread the stem. A member on .com did a walkthru, I'll post it as soon as I find it again.
