Hey guys-

I'm planning on buying an 05 LGT MT in 8-10 months, hopefully with decent miles. With some of the prices i've been seeing lately, and considering the rate of depriciation, I'm trying to guess what price LGT's will be around when i'm FINALLY ready to buy. Seeing as how the KBB for an 05 is around 18-19 right now, i was hoping i might be able to snag one for around 17k if i play my cards right. What do y'all think? thanks for the input!

anyone? anyone? (beuhler? lol) i'm planning now on buying one from a dealer here in NY or NJ, depending on the breaks, etc.

also, what kind of things should i look for (problems that are car-specific when doint a walk around/test drive?) thanks

I don't know that the LGT's will be down that low by then. But then again. What do I know. I am not a car expert.:)

17 is low- maybe 19-20 and that's pushing it. You're doing the smart thing though- buy used a year or two after the car comes out and pay a sh!tload less. My next car will be low mileage, used, private sale. No more cacksuckers at dealerships for me.

I guess you can say it's the price of having something new and fresh! I have always bought used cars that were only a couple of years old, no complaints. This is my first new car, and it's much more exciting. I don't know if I will ever buy another used car. However, I am very anal about the condition of my car, so new suits me quite well. :D

Slightly used cars are the ones for me. Many times I find myself on the under side of purchacing the vehicle I want. With a new/used, you can get the same car you want and not max out the budget you set aside for the car in the first place thus making you happy with the vehicle and giving you a sense of value as you came in under budget.....now you have more mulah for mods!!!!
