Hi, I'm Bryan from Racer X Engineering and I just want to introduce myself. I have been building Hot Rods since I was 16 yrs and I have been a Subaru owner since '04 when I got my '04 WRX wagon. A year later I moved to my '05 LGT 5mt wagon. I'm the same "itsme" on legacygt.com.
I make and sell the Racer X engineering FMIC for the '05-'09 LGT and '08+ WRX/STi and also my new '10+ LGT TMIC. After being a Subaru owner I found that we were being charged too much for performance parts so I started my company to fill the need for quality parts at a fair price. I still sell my own products but, I'm also a dealer and I can offer better prices for members.
I went to SEMA last year and made alot of connections there. I'm working with a manufacture bring new turbo and wheel options just to name a few things. So check here for the best price for your performance needs or any other question. Bryan

Here is a member review:
Alrighty, so I had my TMIC installed today at Innovative Tuning in Buffalo, NY. As far as I can tell it fits like a glove and the black is really stealthy and matches the black intercooler piping and intake manifold. Sorry all I've got is a crappy phone photo, but here it is...
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v307/Rutch/CarPics/LegacyGT/8fb8c73a.jpg
In a perfect world we would have tuned the car with the stock TMIC then installed the RacerX TMIC and re-tuned for it, but instead we just tested before and after the new TMIC with the Cobb OTS Stage 2 map. The Cobb map did not like the TMIC and actually lost power in a few places, but after tuning we gained a ton of torque and horsepower across the board.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v307/Rutch/CarPics/LegacyGT/Dynotune1-19-12.jpg
I can't wait to see what this setup will do at the strip once the track opens up in the spring. It also should be plenty of intercooler to keep up with a larger turbo if I decide to go that route down the road...
Big thanks to Bryan for finishing this TMIC project and helping out us 5th gen guys! Also thanks to Mike and the crew at Innovative Tuning for the install and dyno tune
I have more TMIC in stock ready to ship. Bryan

$650 shipped for '05-'09 LGTs, '08+WRXs and Now '08+ STI.
The new price $650 shipped is less then most aftermarket TMIC and members are reporting 10whp to 20whp improvement over aftermarket TMIC. Plus little to no power loss in hot weather not like TMIC. My prices are lower because I have very little overhead and I'm still able to deliver a high quality product.
Yes, other kits have bigger core but, sometime bigger is not always better. My core is still over twice the size of a TMIC and with my FMIC on our test car is making close to 400whp with his '08 Spec. B that has a 68hta and supporting mods on e85. Now he is shooting for 450whp with a bigger turbo and injectors. So if those numbers are within you goals then the size of my core should be fine.
Another reason I went with this core size was to save the stock crash beam. When I was younger speed was the most important thing. Now, it's keeping my family safe and making it home to them everyday. Other kit remove the bumper beams and give you a mount for the core. With that setup the core is out in front. So a little bump from another car in the parking lot that would be no damage if you had a beam. Can now damage your core and leave you stranded. You know how bad you car runs with a vacuum leak. Just think what it would do with a damage core.
Also the other FMIC that remove the beam don't give you a crash rating for their beams. And if you do get into a real crash will the insurance company reject your claim becasue your removed your crash beam? Those are some of the reasons I picked the IC I use in the kit. Just something to think about.

Here is the final price for the coating
$95 per intercooler
$80 per set for powder for tubing
$125 per set for ceramic for tubing
That's $175 powercoat and $220 for ceramic coating. Like I said before plus $10
for my time and gas. Below is more info on the coatings
Thermal Dispersement- This coating on a radiator or intercooler will lower the overall temperature by 18-20%. It works by eliminating the hot spots! All radiators and intercoolers have hot spots. This coating is a satin black in color and is a wet application that is baked in.
Pm me with any questions. Bryan
Ceramic Satin Black thermal coating- This is an air cure flat/semi satin black color. This material handles heat up to 3000 degrees. By having such a high heat factor this makes for internal temperatures to stay much cooler by keeping the hot air out of a tube. This coating is widely used in the Harley motorcycle market for there exhaust to make the outside temperatures much lower and keep the heat in the pipes.
Here are pictures of the coated kits. Here are the powder coated kit
http://i167.photobucket.com/albums/u156/itsmebryan/P1060591.jpg
Here is some of the other colors you can get
Gun metal

As you can see my kit is made for subies. You don't have to hack large parts out of your bumper skin to run my FMIC. Just think when you finally trade in you car. How will large parts cut out of your bumper skin going to effect your trade in. I went through the extra trouble when I designed this kit to not hack the car and remove the stock part. Subaru spent Millions of dollars in R&D to make our cars so I designed the kit to work with the car.
I keep the stock crash beam unlike just about out there FMIC. Subaru worked hard for that 5 star crash rating but, what does it drop to when you remover the crash beam. On e85, I have a '05 Legacy GT wagon that will do 12 sec 1/4mi that makes @370 WHP at only 20psi( My EWG won't let it go over 20 psi) with bolt-on, stock manifolds and is my daily driver. So I don't see why losing your crash beam is worth it. We all want to go fast but, when things go wrong you want all the protection you can get.
I keeps the stock overflow tak. We have found in the past some of the smaller overflow tanks cause the car to run out of water because they are smaller then stock.
So remember when you buy:
What kit lets you keep your crash beam?
What kit lets you keep your stock overflow?
What FMIC works with just about any aftermaket intake? (cobb and stock need trimming)
Great customer and fast responding service.
Also all kits come with a one year warranty against defects.
All T-clamps (no worm gear clamps )
All pipes are are beaded
Everything you need to run STi or LGT/'08 WRX turbo

Looks good. Have a few questions regarding the 4th gen ('05) models.
- How is the fit of the TMIC? Some of the other aftermarket TMIC need some slight modifactions to fit or may have some clearance issues over the clutch piston.
- I notice in you first few pics the inlet tube is routed to the front of the engine. Is the 4th gen TMIC a direct bolt-on to the factory turbo?
Thanks.

The TMIC is for the 5(gen) '10+ LGTs. It's the only one on the market now. I make a FMIC for the 4gen LGT plus I sell all of the supporting mods.

I setup a deal to have a wheel company to make wheels to fit Subaru. The will cut the wheels to fit our offset . I just got off the phone with the owner. He said he could cut any combo of a minimum 10 sets of wheels for our Subaru on a group buy. He can do the "Concave" , "mono lights", pretty much any of his designs. I should get my dealer price list soon. So if you know anyone looking for new wheel that they won't see on every Subaru out there, tell them to check out the link below. As a member and Subaru owner this is that kind of stuff I want to do for the Subaru community. I went to SEMA with a mission to find new options and better price for us and that is what I'm doing. If you guys are interested I will start a GB thread on this site. www.renneninternational.com (http://www.renneninternational.com/)

Update: I'm a dealer now and I got my price list. The forged wheel are MSRP starting at $1k a wheel for 19" x 8.5" -10" wide and go all the way to 26"x10". But, my price is well below $1K a wheel. I have to get the price for forged, Monoblock , and multi-pcs wheels in 17's and 18's . I have the price for the cast wheels from 15" to 28". They also said the price for the mono block billet wheels are the same as their 3 pc wheels. But, the price list they sent me shows me cast, forged, and 2 pcs wheel. So, I set up a meeting with the owner for next Monday he want to give me a press kit and talk about his products. I think this will work. I should be able to get club members unique ,quality wheels for less than the wheels out there now. I have to get price on shipping and 17" and 18" wheels then I can give a final price list. If you have any questions let me know. It's kind of late and I may be making a few typos. LOL
Let's start a list on what you want and I will start getting a price list together. Please keep your comments about people choices to yourself. If you don't like their choice keep it to yourself. http://www.3gwrx.com/forum/Smileys/default/wink.gif Let me know which wheel, what size, bolt pattern, and offset. Thanks Bryan

I really like your coated kit. It wouldn't be right away, but I'll be in the market for a FMIC when I upgrade turbos.
I'll stay tuned for wheel price, but don't hold your breath. I think ppl would like to see pics of example wheels installed before being very committed.

Ok, I also carry turbos and all supporting modds so check my prices first.;)
I don't understand what you mean about people wanting to see the wheels installed first. I have links to the web site that shows the wheels. I'm going to the factory on Monday to meet with the owner to go over a few things.

That would be hard for me to do that. That when you have to use your imagination. I can picture wheel and image how they will look on my car. But, when I get my media pack I will post hi rez photos that people can print or photoshop on their cars.

Ok, I got back from the factory and talked to the owner. He showed me this 22" monolicht
http://i167.photobucket.com/albums/u156/itsmebryan/Rennen-M5-Concave-BR.jpg
and put the on the scale and it was 20lbs. They had not wheel tighten yet. He said that would drop it down to 18-18.5 LBS for a 22". He said the 18's will range from 15lbs -18lbs depending on the design and the 19's would be 1-2 lbs more.
I had to work hard to get the price down. My regular price would start at $800 per wheel. And even that low is a good price for light hi-end wheels like these. But I was able to get them down for this introduction into the Subaru community.
Any Monolicht, Forged and 3pc in 18" up to 10" wide will be $700 per wheel plus shipping($50)
19's the price is $775 per wheel plus shipping($50)
As always, I don't nickel and dime you. That price includes what others charge extra for center cap ($40+) and lighten ($40+).
These wheels will clear aftermarket brake. No more spacers to worry about.
On 3pcs wheels you can have up to a 2" lip and still have the proper offset for subarus.
Now you can have the wheels you want, Not just the one everyone else has. Your car will be unique because no one else will have these wheels unless the buy them here.
I can also get the cast ZEN racing wheels starting at $110 for 17".
March 31 will be the last day to get in on this GB. I'm running it that long to give people time to save up their money and get their tax returns back. Because, this may be a one time shot and I want to give everyone a chance to get in on it. So, if you are tired of the same old wheels everyone else has here is your chance for something new. Let me know if you have any questions. I also have hi rez photos of all the wheels. let me know if you want me to post them. Bryan

FYI guys. I purchased a kit from racerX. The kit turned out to be defective. He refused to return my money or exchange the kit for a new one. After hours of trying to install, I gave up. He argued for me for over an hour on the phone about the quality of the parts. Kept saying that he has never had an issue. After my research, there have been many documented issues. While the price is good if it fits, the customer service is lacking. He might help with install issues, but be prepared for a fight if you have an issue that requires his returning your money or giving you new kit.
Please follow this link to find out the truth about this person. http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/racer-x-itsme-fmic-install-131072p26.html His statements are false. He is out to defame, not to inform. Read the comments from my customer on my install thread that is active and has over 1000 post.
On to other topics. One of the Subaru owners I sponsor just ran 11.8 sec 1/4 mile with bolt-ons including my FMIC in a '11 WRX. Here is a link to info on his run http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2343897 This shows it does take much to get great performance out of our cars.
