I know it can be confusing getting wheels and tires and figuring out what will fit so lets post what we have so we can know what fits, what doesnt, and what to expect with a size. Also list any changes you have made to ride height.

I am curretly running and 18X8.5 rim with a 50mm offset. Tires are 225/40/18, the are on the wide side so they are closer to a 235 or 245 then a 225. I have my car lowered 1.3in. in the front and 1.0in. in the rear and
no real problems. I have the front camber set at max negitive on the stock camber adjustment and a really good alignment, and they just fit the car with no rubing unless the wheel is fully turnedand then it is very slight. The 225 is a little thin for an 8.5 rim so next time i will probably go with a 235 insted.

Stock suspension, so far - I've got a set of iONs sitting in the garage from the latest LGT.com GB that should be going on-vehicle in the next month or so.....

My winter setup is 225/45/17 Falken ZIEX ZE-512 high-performance all-seasons on the stocker 17s that my '05 was equipped with, bling'ed with some "STi" logo centercap vinyls.

Summer setup consists of 225/40/18 Fuzion ZRi ultra-high-performance dedicated summers on Prodrive PFF-7, 18x8 ET51. Bling includes a set of Prodrive locking stem caps and black-ano'ed McGard spline-drive lug nuts. ;)

They really make all the difference. If I had it to do over again, I'd have gotten 245's, but at the time nobody was sure that 245's would fit.

Some people also thought that an 8.5 rim with a 50mm offset ould not fit either and look at me

Just picked up 18x7.5 Roh Adrenalines with 48 Offset. I dressed them in 225/40 ZR18 Toyo Proxes but haven't put them on yet. I went to install yesterday and ran in to issues with the lugs. I had picked up a set of 12mmx 1.5 Spline lugs but they don't fit? Everything I have read so far says 12mm. The package wasn't marked with a size, but at the register it scanned 12mm. They look right but the thread is wrong. What am I missing here?

I think you've solved your own problem....the threading.

I believe that Scoobys are all 12 x 1.25 pitch. :)

Took the time this morning to throw on my new shoes. Thanks to TSI+WRX for helping me to see the obvious on the lug size. These are 18" x 7.5 Roh Adrenaline wheels with a 48 offset. The tires are toyo Proxes 225/40/ZR18. The 48 offset brings the tires almost out even with the edges of the wells. Based on the Miata tire size chart I'll be rolling about 2% slow, but man what a difference over the stock Bridgestones! The ride is smoother, quieter and gives the car a very different feel.

so i realized I've never posted in this thread...why is that no1 is contributing to this thread?

my current setup: (well technically off the car cause of the mishap) 18x8.5 +48 rims, 235/40/18 tires, no rubs except for full turn on inside fenderliner. Only happens when I try to make it happen.

my future setup: Same 18x8.5 +48 rims, 255/35/18 tires:tup:
