So I'm on a 200 mile round trip call yesterday, and I start to notice a shaking at between 65 and 80 mph. The more I drive, the more I notice. On my way home I stop at an STS to get the new shoes balanced again thinking that maybe I threw a weight. They do the balancing and tell me only one wheel had any issues, and that it was my right rear. Now, I know I felt the vibe in the steering wheel, so there must be something more wrong. The wheels had aluminum hub rings which were to small in diameter for the hub, so I pulled them off. I figured I could go without them all together because the rings were so thin to begin with. I know the rim bore is 63.5mm, but can anyone tell me what the diameter of the wheel hub is on the LGT's?

You did re-torque your lugs to-spec, correct?

From Keefe's (Xenonk) FAQ on the .com site (he's the resident suspension and brake guru there), it's cited:

Center bore must have to be 56mm or larger (if the bore is larger than 56mm, use hub centric rings to fit properly to your wheel's center bore).

If I'm reading this right, you need hub-centric rings.....

[Also, another thread on the .com site cited that we have a 56.1mm hub measurement - unfortunately, I couldn't confirm this elsewhere. :( ]

Thanks TSi, I did a little more research and saw what you saw. The hub size on the LGT is 56mm. The bad news is that these Australian wheels use a diferent bore than most other wheels (63.5) The only good news is that I have the original aluminum hub rings. I can find somewhere to have them bored out to 56.1mm. Unless of course anyone here might know of an alternative??

^ Damn, wish I could help more, but that's totally beyond my technical knowledge.... :(

Thanks anyway, I'll get it right. The vibe is better now because they were torqued off of the ground on a lift. I torqued them with they wheels down as I am only working with a jack. I'll just get these bored and throw them in soon.

Where did you get the wheels from, if it was a vendor then contact them. I you got them used in any way, even I got these for my ca and never installed them contact the company, they chould at lest be abole to point you in the right direction. I would go back to stock wheels till you get it sorted out.
