I took her in for tint and faced the ultimate dilemma. What percentage????

In my town, they refer to the police as...well, nevermind. Let's just say they are really tough. I had 50% on my G and got pulled over. So I went 50% on the LGT. Well, even though they both have black interiors (My old G and the new LGT) the tint looked darker on the G. I think because the G was silver and contrasted more. In any case, I've brought her back in to get another layer of 50% on the back and back side windows. I'm waiting to pick it back up this afternoon. I got my clear bra in bu am pretty nervous about doing the install. Anyone done one yet? If so, do you have any tips?
Here's a pic with the initial 50%: (after the debadging I threw on an STI badge. Boy am I having fun with the kids in their WRX's!)

The tint looks good!

And if I have not said so already I like those wheels on your car.

Thanks all! I liked the tint, but it was a little too light overall. I brought her back on friday for a second layer of 50% and it made a big difference. Haven't taken pictures yet with all the rain but more will follow.

The clear bra is a big help. i got it put on my car wen i first bought and it has saved me from many rock spots. mine cost almost $700. thats because i did the front bumper, hood, Apillars, and lower rocker panel around the whole car. but its very helpful.. but dont let the bugs stay on it long the stain it especially lady bugs. I Know!

won't the clear bra get discolored over time?

Only if it is not tooken care of? I seen newer cars with discolored clear bras, and I seen older cars with clear bras that hasn't discolored at all.

if the paint doesnt get any oxygen, paint might get screwed.

I suppose you need to balance out how you want to take care of the car.

The clear bra doesnt mess up the paint. Its a protection film. the way to keep if from discoloring is to wax it just like the rest of your car. just remember to clean the cracks closely. u can remove the film just like tint. i love my clear bra. u cant even tell its there.

The con is that it will not fade as much and may leave a line... Pros are that it will protect your dangerously thin Japanese paintjob from dings and you don't have to be swiftly executed for buying a leather one for your car.

I would consider it.
