I think we've covered this topic regarding imports recently, but...
14 years in to my job...We get bought out recently by a corporate mega-company. Well, the bean counters start juggling numbers and poof...
we will be disapearing?!?!

Damn, that sucks - looks like you're having a string of bad-luck lately! :( :(

Hum, if you were here, bro, I'd make you eat a bowl of pig's feet noodles. That's the Chinese folk-belief remedy to "change your luck."

Best wishes for your soon-to-be, no doubt, newfound path!

Thanks all. I had started this company (for someone else) in the early 90's. I think it's time to do it again, but this time for me. I've got enough contacts to get started and enough ambition to make it work even better this time.

what biz are you in?? sucks to be out of work, but from personal experience, some of my best times were during that time when I had no ties or comittments.

Make the best of it.....when you have time to do things, you don't have the money. When you have money, you don't have the time to enjoy life. Solution? Mastercard ;)

I am the marketing and operations manager for the diamond tool division of a major construction equipment manufacturer. Diamond impregnated saw blades and drill bits used for cutting concrete and asphalt are what we import and produce domestically. When you are stuck in bumper to bumper traffic because of road construction, it may be my fault. The market has been beat up over the past ten years by imports, but I have good contacts with them. I think it's time...
