You planning on more power? If not, stock will suffice...

I'm stage one. Stage two is going to be on as soon as I fix the bodywork. TurboXS and hi-flow cat is waiting to be on.
ZeroSport header is on the works.
From there any small power mod is posible.

I just got the clutch replaced under warranty....not too many options out there that work with 100% confidence. Vendors are piecing kits together as a replacement.

You should be ok with the stock one...mine hasn't slipped yet...

Leo - some people are running 18g's and 20g's on the stock clutch with no issues. Those of us who have slipping issues are dealing with crap parts from the factory.

I have had good luck with the exedy organic clutch...not sure if there is an application for the gt though...it has a nice stiff feel to it...not the loosy goosy feel of our clutch...FWIW

I just ordered a new clutch from jscspeed.com. They have Spec clutches. i got the stage 3+ one which should be good for 500 hp. i know ill never put that much power out so it should last me for the rest of the cars life.

I'm at typical "Stage II" power levels....
About 2 or so 3K-4K RPM "slip" launches per week. :D
It's been about 6 months since my reflash to this level - still good on the stock clutch. ;) Knock on wood!

Wow, the last time I did a "slip" launch was on the drag strip when my car was stock...

:D
The only time my clutch has given off that distinct stink is once, when I did a 5-5.5K "slipped" launch.
Having never gotten clutch-stink in my LGT before that incident, I drove the rest of the way home truly thinking that I must have fried my clutch assembly good...hell, I even thought I could feel a distinct difference in engagement.
As it turns out, I just got extremely lucky!
Seriously, I'm rather aggressive with my left foot/leg - and I guess my right, too - and usually launch about twice a week, if not more. The powerband in this vehicle is just so different from my previous vehicles' that it's almost impossible for me to keep things "sedate" all the time. ;)
To wit, though, I *never* do such launches back-to-back. Usually, I'll pull the stunt (typically, I'm alone - no other vehicles nearby - I don't particularly like "playing" on public roads) once, and then drive sedately the rest of the way during that commute, and possibly repeat the performance some time later on in the week.
I keep wondering just how much longer my factory clutch will withstand what I've been asking of it - I've been so spoiled by the easy clutch effort of the stocker on my LGT that I'm now almost always stalling-out, the first time I get in the car, on my once-weekly drive of my 45-lb. push-effort clutch DSM.

 - yeah I've never have had the stink other than at the drag strip either...I think the rest of the guys just can't drive right...:p

^ I think that's actually a good idea - certainly, claiming warranty might get you a new clutch (depending on how nice your dealership is), but honestly, if I were faced with the same situation, I'd upgrade, too, and just head-off any down-the-road hassle/headaches.

as posted above, there are people running stock clutches far in excess of Stg II tunes with no issues.
