West Comuter Parking Lot

Date: Sunday April 2nd

Time: 12 noon

Directions: If your coming from Manhatten\Bronx area take 87 North across the Tappan Zee Bridge to exit 12. If your coming south on 87 from the Jersey area Im not sure of the exit. But its hard to miss the BIG Mall. If any one knows the exit let me know and I'll post it. (posted in another thread by mudfoot)

It's pretty cool- 1947 Dodge sedan with suicide doors and fluid drive. For those who don't know what fluid drive is (I didn't until I saw the car), it's a manual transmission with a torque convertor mounted- you can take off in any gear and you don't have to push the clutch in at stoplights.:cool:

Yeah, I had a blast driving it last year- haven't driven the Dodge yet- we're gonna do some brake work and replace the shocks before taking it out. He took me for it's maiden voyage (as his own car) and the first thing that happened was we got a thumbs up :cool:

It's a neat looking car- kind of reminds me of a 1940's tin toy- gonna do some buffing and waxing before getting pix of it alone though- my Dad is the 3rd owner.

Probably because it is a Subaru community and it is actually kinda snobby to only have one type there? Subaru's stick together usually...

IWSTi has alot of meets and all is welcome. We dont just limit it to STi's.

None the less, I will be there most likely.

Which is why they got pissed on NASIOC. We're always having meets and any nasioc member is welcome even if they dont have a Subaru. Having a meet for just Legacys posting it on NASIOC was just... :tdown:

I think Mike was just trying to keep this meet small. OBviously there are alot more WRX and Stis around than legacys.

I guess posting it there and saying it is only for certain models might have been seen as exclusionary, but He did say that there was going to be a larger one coming up open to everyone....:)

I'm gonna bring duct tape and a sharpie and we can do LGT.com sticker mods :lol: its really easy and doesnt void any warnties. You cover the .com portion of a legacy GT.com sticker with dust tape then write .org in its place.

He shouldnt have posted it on nasioc, but members reactions to it were really harsh, and enforced negative stereotypes that people have about that site. Posting the meet on a non-subaru site like somone on nasioc did was really not cool. Kind of like some child-like type **** just to be a ****.

Why would you have cared at all if it was posted on a legacy site?

This is starting to feel a bit like that other place. I am coming here to avoid that crap. :beer:
