Today, HSPN TV (http://www.hspn.tv/), a division of HSPN Networks (http://www.hspn.com/), released a how-to installation video of LED lighting from www.leddomelight.com (http://www.leddomelight.com/) on a 2006 STI.
The LED lights significantly improved the poor interior lighting of the stock vehicle. The before and after images seen in the video are taken from stills of the video camera.

I think that guy on there just does all thes einstalls so he can get vendors to give him free parts for his STI. Did you look at all the installs he has done on his STI?
Smart guy

That guy is Ben, co-founder of HSPN Networks. His STi is a race car, doesn't even have interior lights (or hardly any interior for that matter) :)

I'm not sure whos White '06 that one was. I think he did a couple of things on his 05 before and after it was turned into a race car. Another employee @ HSPN has a STi also (You see him in some videos also) then they have also asked for volenteers on IWSTi.com before.

http://www.leddomelight.com/ - according to their site there is a Legacy/Outback application. However it is abit confusing. Email or call them and let know how confusing the website is, as when you select 05+ Legacy/Outback, it gives your 3 prices, all for room lamps, doesn't tell you which is which.

Yes, I bought a set for my Odyssey because we use the dome lots a lot in that car. It's way too blue for us. It's sitting on my bench right now. Waste of $50 for me.

Bummer but thanks for the post. I was just about to inquire about the best source to order them for our Mazda MPV. It doesn't auto-shutoff the rear area light if it is swithed to "On" manually - which our kids keep doing. So it's been on all night several times. Once the weather gets a little colder that can easily kill the battery. I think I'll just tape it into the center position.

We might buy a set still. At least for the trunk.
I hate not being able to see back there.

Thanks
They only have a tinge of blue. Very bright.
I decided to NOT do the maplight-domelight mod after getting them.
That, and soldering > Me

^ Those LEDs are hella bright, for interior lighting. My red ones are even bright enough - much brighter than their factory incandescent counterparts.
I can only imagine how bright the white ones would be! :)

^ I'll try to get some better pix..... my problem is that I suck at photography.
I switched to the red dome so that I wouldn't wake Anna up with retina-searing white-light, if I were to check on her at night. Little did I realize that the 24-LED array panel puts out so much light that you'd still be able to see a "red haze" if you closed your eyes, right underneath it.
The red puddles are fun. :)
I'll try for some pix this evening!

^ She may say yes, but you'll have to check with her..... (note: she was a policewoman in Taiwan back in the '80s - yep, that's right, 1980s, which meant that she was one of, like, one  she might be a bit tough to handle.....)
