Just a warning, I have MANY questions. Hope you guys are able to answer my questions. If they are answered, I'll get back w/ my results and post a listing of all parts/procedures recommended for the N/A guys.

Keep in mind, my car is a 2.5i w/ the 4EAT.

So I'm nearing the 30K miles mark. I need to get my drivetrain fluids changed out.

I was thinking of going w/ the Subaru OEM fluids available at the dealer. Would that be my best bet?
No need for high performance fluids I suppose...but I've been considering synthetic for the ATF/front diff. Would this give me any advantages?

Do I need to go ahead and replace my Tranny filter? Some recommmend it due to the shavings, etc. from the break-in period, and it seems these filters are good for 100K miles. Maybe change it now and not worry about it till 100K?

From all the reading I've done, the standard OEM rear diff. fluid is more than adequate and no needed to use anything else. Would you guys agree?

Since I've asked this much, what would you guys recommend for replacement of my brake fluid? No tracks or autoxing, but maybe?? a couple of autoxes in my future...

Spark plugs: Any recommendations other than the copper Subaru ones?

AFAIK, the Subaru factory fill for the tranny and diffs is Valvoline. Save yourself some $$ and get it at Walmart or somewhere. I would recommend synthetic for longer service intervals, but thats just me. And yeah, change the filter this time.

I would go with the Subaru antifreeze and Subaru additive for the coolant.

Do they have a date yet? ;) The Forester needs everything done ASAP, but my car can wait, as I havent gotten near 30K miles yet...

Thanks Maro for the info., I think I've read over on NASIOC about the Valvoline. I guess if I can get the Subaru fluids at a good price, I'll stick to them.
