Now the server or ?? is teh suc and the file limit for upload is smaller than a mosquito's penis.

We use to be able to upload decent sized files, but not anymore.

Good to see we can upload up to 2meg here. That's bad azz! Need more detail in the porn.

So when the guy goes out to get into his MazdaSpeed3, and finds himself trying to open the door on an '08 STi, he can blame Subaru's unoriginal design.

I love my Legacy, so I could care less what $***box other people want to buy, but come on Suby, be unique!

I sure hope they don't mess up the Legacy styling in the 2010 redesign. The '08 styling looks good. I don't much care how badly they mess up the impreza, as I'm on my second Legacy, and I'm sticking with Legacy until they screw it up so badly I can't take it anymore and move on. But I like what they've done so far...

Remember, this is the WRX, *NOT* the STI. The STI will be substantially different, not just an evolution (pun intended) of the WRX like it is now.

I've heard good things are in store...

Now if you were comparing the WRX here against the Lancer, you might have a point, though the Lancer is only FWD, and substantially wimpier.

The underpinnings of the next Impreza chassy are clearly stated with the new WRX pics. A biggAr hoodscoop and huge rear wing isn't gonna save this one from ugly.

Yup, the new one has the WRX on the cover. Interesting story though. They talked about how this is a $25k + car that looks just like the Mazdaspeed3. The mazdaSpeed3 comes with near 300hp, for under $25k. Most people in the market for that kind of car would sacrafice the AWD for 75+ hp, imho. If Mazda puts AWD on that car, SOA is really in trouble.

I went to the Dever Auto show yesterday, and spend some time talking to the SOA rep there. This coming weekend SOA will reveal the new WRX, STI and Tribecca in Detroit, so that should prove to be interesting. The new WRX's are based off the Legacy platform, so they will be larger, and the new OB looks a lot like the old Legacy wagon..... With the big bro and little bro to the Legacy taking on more of it's charictoristics, I wonder if they are slowly phasing out the LGT.

On another note, the Tribecca now had a 3.6 ltr H6 engine! Show me that w/ turbo, and I'll show you many a grinning faces! You think it will fit in the engine bay of the LGT?

....mang, this is starting to look like a TSi+WRX post, I better cool it!

I know you asked this a couple months ago, but it didn't look like it got answered. Yes, I do believe the 3.6 will fit in the Legacy. From what I understand, the exterior dimensions didn't change any. The bore is slightly bigger, and they increased stroke by shortening the connecting rods and lengthening the crank journals, so the width from valve cover to valve cover is the same. Though I don't have any real evidence to support that - just going by what I've read on the various Subaru chat boards.

YOu'd think SOA woulda just put the 3.6H6 in the Legacy as well as the Tribeca. It's not like we had an H6 Legacy anyway...The Legacy 3.0H6 came about in the US only bc they had too many of those motors leftover that they couldnt put in the Tribeca anymore...

I honestly have no idea where this rendering was first posted - a local Scooby enthusiast posted this to LERSOC after we all had a group vomiting session over the first leaked pictures of the Impreza/WRX/STI restyle for '08.

I honeslty hope that the restyle is more in-sync with this particular rendering, albeit in 4 (or 5)-door format. Heck, if the '08 STI came with some sort of "manumatic" transmission, I might even be able to talk the wifey into upgrading her ride. :)

My guess (and this is pure speculation) is that they'll put the 3.6 in the Legacy when they do the redesign in 2010. We'll just have to wait and see.

Edited to add: cuz that's when the Legacy will be based on the Tribeca chassis.

At least the LGT seems to be staying true to it's heritage. I haven't any real complaints about them, so I have high hopes of continually designing new models that stay true to the previous years, and pay attention to the desires of the clientel, so that the design will grow and change to the needs of our very different market nitche. We'll see!
