Bigger payments + college life = sucksYup, I figure though I can find a used Forrester XT in Black with a Manual Trans easily to run with and go the route above. It would save me moneys on Ins too I believe and would be alot nicer with the extra room and Turbah'.

I know my brother wants my GT and I can sell it too him this summer and just horde all the cash I get from working my ass off over the summer/ take out a small loan to pick one up.

Again we'll see, I love my GT and am doing the research for the summertime swap, but the next time I get it up on a lift I need to go over the undercarrage with a fine toothed comb to see how bad the corrosion is under there and what will also need to be replaced to handle the jump to 300 AWHP (which may be alot since this sucka is a '97)

Bu11dogg2
03-29-2006, 01:51 PM
Nice.

Im still in for the swap this summer if thats what you decide to do.

That FXT looks hot, not too keen on the STi scoop on it though. Maybe just the taller bugeye STi scoop would look better.

It was really just a friendly offer to people in the area. Wasnt really trying to make money as much as meet fellow lgters and help them out.

You know that, I know that, but to make things fair you need to eliminate the gray areas.

Can't go asking for money then say you're not doing it to make money ;)

Mostly it's to protect (and satistfy) the paying vendors on the board who offer the same services.

Hello to all! I have been checking-out some of the different threads and posts, and there is an abundance of info here. I am new to owning a Subie and for that matter any car this nice. My wife and I have a '05 Honda Odyssey, and I was using an old "beater" (P.O.S) to commute with, that finally died.

I will possibly mod a couple of things on this all stock vehicle.

I pick it up on April 1st, 2010. Buying it from a dealer. One of the rear headrest seems to be missing. The dealer is trying to get it from the guy who gave it to them on a trade in. If he does not have it, will that be difficult to attain?

I would like to change the stock shifter for the short Momo. Also thinking of the auto dimming rearview mirror. Are these these two mods easy, and fairly inexpensive?

Thanks for any help.

As for the headrest, the dealership should take care of that, not you. Whether the previous owner turns up w/ it, or the dealership has to pay for it themself's. Just be persistent about it. They should crack easily about a headrest, lol.

The shifter is a very easy mod. Basically a twist-off, twist-on. Costs around seventy bucks.

The auto-dimming mirror isn't to difficult, though it is something I would have a professional do, because of the wiring. Not sure about the price, though.

Welcome, and good luck with the Leggy!
