Will there be parkinglot burnouts? Street racing through school zones? If so I am IN.

I'm with you. I'm on all day at work, and it's like watching my wife sleep. I want to post up and really get on it, but it's so sleepy and peaceful, so I just roll over and amuse myself:lol:!

A little offended, but I won't lose any sleep over it. BTW - how is Houston local?

I was only showing my support for you guys, because if I did have the time I would drive out there, I'm always down for a good car show. It's all about road trips!

Hope yo dont mind the OT....

Houston local scene is pretty cool. Not TOO many LGT owners, but DM and myself hang out with the older wrx/sti owners. A bit more mature in respect to their cars, but still immature clowns nonetheless:lol:. These are all guys that USE their cars for good, i.e. track, autocross, etc. We do have some LGT owners around, like robsontuning on .com, with the world famous pink LGT. Overall, the LGTs are admired, and looked upon as the "nice" car that none of these guys want yet. Ironically, all the LGT owners are the "kids" of the group.

The HAI meet for today, Saturday the 12th, has been moved to RedRocks lower parking lot. http://www.redrocksonline.com/pages/...ons/RR_Map.pdf (http://www.redrocksonline.com/pages/questions/RR_Map.pdf)

I'm blocked out when I'm at work, so I can't post a linky, but there is a whole pic thread on the www.highaltitudeimports.com (http://www.highaltitudeimports.com) site.

The meet was nice. A ton of rice, but lots of nice cars too. My fav was an amazing rx-7. You'll see the pics of it on the pic thread. Black with custom paint. I think 500+ hp and super clean! Some day I'd love to get one of those as a dedicated project car. The drive around & through Red Rocks is a ton of 2nd gear, high torque, hard cornering fun!

Sadly, I was the only LGT there. Someone took some pics of my car and posted them on the thread; you'll see my RBP w/ bronze rims if you look.

So, if the legacy's are L7, then are the impreza's I7? Just a thought.

No not really. Its just a stylized L and a mirror image of it. Some also say it is ment to represent the 7 Stars of Palades. I go more for the first one cause an L is not exactly symetrical. I have the a real JDM one on the trunk of my car. This one is off my grill so it is a bit scratched up and the flash makes it look worse.

Now i have some pimp ass Decipticon badges in the grill and the lower right of my trunk like the STi or B4 badge placement area.

I personally like the standard badge so peeps would know what I'm roll'n in. Mine's painted red for accent. Still need to paint the chrome on my grill

Disregard the .com sticker, this pic was taken a year ago when I had .com stickers on.

Don't get me wrong, the symbols look cool, just only if the people around here get it. Which they don't, and they would call me a ricer.

Someone once asked me if it was a Scion, which irritated me, but other than that, I think it just confuses people, unless they know LGT's already. I try not to give people too long to look at it anyway!

Word I was picking my cousin up from school and 2 kids were arguing over what my car is, a Subaru or a Scion

As he is getting in the car he tells them its a Subaru. I was kind of impressed that one knew it was an LGT.

Don't know what it's like in your area, but to many stickers, logos,...etc. puts you in the ricer image out here. I used to be a ricer in the '90s, and since I have a professional career now, it's all about image.

what is the process to de-badge? is it just stickers or does it go into the trunk?

Dookie

The letters are placed on with double sided tape. To remove, use fishing line and slide it behind the letters/emblems and work the fishing line down, this will prevent scraching the paint. Then use adhesive remover to wipe off the rest of the sticky tape.

The lettering on the back of the car, and the front badge, are just stuck on. The rear badge, however, has two small pins that go into two small holes in the trunk. So do what Dookie said with the fishing line, but you have to work around the pins and it'll eventually let go. Pretty easy actually. And if you don't have fishing line, dental floss can get it done.
