I cannot get on .com at work, and I need to order a new clutch as mine is slipping. Can anyone tell me the part number of the new ACT clutch that people are having sucess with? I know LittleBlueGT has one, and I think the thread with the info on .com is called 'I Win! Legact Specific ACT Clutch!", if I remember correctly! Can anyone help me with the part number and vendors they are using?
Thank you +100000
Brett

I have found these part numbers:
ACT SB2-HDSS - http://www.pltek.net/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=1106_21_33_1084&products_id=411
and
ACT SB5-HDMM - http://www.rallysportdirect.com/shop/act-legacy-street-disk-clutch-kit-p-2890.html
Not sure which one is the new, good one, and which one is the wrong one, which is currently installed in my car, and slipping at $3k miles. I have to look at my records at home.

"Hehehe. I havent searched, but i think i have the first legacy specific act clutch and flywheel combo. Just came out last week, and ordered it as soon as my supplier had it.
If you need it. I can get it. Act fast though, only a few were made this first run. There are probably about 3 i can get my hands on, but no promises.
Heres what it looks like.
Not sure when ill be able to get it in. Maybe tomorrow night, but its hard to get motivated when your registration has been expired for a month (just figured it out... ouch)
I really want to see if its better than my RS clutch, and weve had nothing but good luck with all of ACT clutches in the past.
Enjoy!

This is exactly the same as what I did!!!!!!!!!!!!
The ACT kit is an 06 WRX kit, check the part numbers, they are the same!
I didn't use ACT, but everything bolted up just fine for me, so I am certain things will also bolt up fine for you.
The problem I am having is the engagement is too close to the floor (it works, but not perfect)
The only way this will work 100% is if ACT slightly changed the geometry of their set-up to work on both. This would mean a higher engagement point for the 06 rex and a lower engagment point for the LGT, but at least our pedals have some adjusment.
I had to adj my clutch pedal to the max to make my kit work.
While I am fairly certain you will also have to adj your pedal, I hope it will be enough to have engagement at least a couple of inches off the floor.
Keep us updated!

Great! Thanks Dooks! Any reference to the part number? I think user: Not Naturally Aspirated posted the part number at one point.

I will be happy to get a non-stinky clutch, not happy to be shelling out another $1k on my car!

That would suck, I'm still on the OEM. I have no need for a performance clutch yet.

Yeah, and I bought the car with the famed ACT/RPS combo, which went out 3k miles after I bought the car, so I replaced it with the only all ACT set available, which was reccomended by ACT, which was built for the pre '06 2.5rs. That one obviously wasn't a perfect fit!

I'd would at least ask for a discount or refund since they recomend the wrong part. Those bastards. Check here, I remember Bu11dog11 posting a review of a new clutch he bought.

Already got the new one installed. ACT all the way. The Spec one is probably good too. I am VERY happy with my ACT so far. What a difference in drivability when you have the right setup installed
Stage 2 Woot! Yeah!
