When I ordered my amp from Crutchfield and they sent me several pages of installation instructions. Here are a few pages that I scanned. Major props for Crutchfield!!

The front door removal is the same for the rear door. There are 2 clips behind the front door and one for the rear once you pull the panel off. The removal of the speakers is self explanatory, 3 screws around the woofer and a plug. The tweeter up front has 2 screws and a plug.

Attached is the wiring diagram for the radio and climate controls. I've made notes as to which color wire goes to which plug. Important: when installing an amp or sub, make sure you tap (not cut) onto the ACC wire. If you use the ANT wire, your amp or sub will turn off when you switch to the cd. selection.

Yes it is, thank you for noticing. I got it from digging in my backyard before I started this project. Hurts like a SOB.

i have an 07 subaru legacy gt with a premium sound system and im not to sure if it has a stock amp somewhere or something. i put in a downline converter for my RCA's and now all the sudden my right speakers wont play or blew. i hooked the downline converter up to the left door speaker.. what should i do??

If you have a factory Sub it would be located under the driver seat. Recheck your wires again at the converter, make sure you didn't cross the wires. It sounds more like a short than blown speakers, even blown speakers will make some sort of sound. Check all the wiring from the radio to each speakers making sure no open wires are touch any metal surfaces.

I had this problem before in a previous car where one of the speaker wires slipped off the terminal and was touching the metal part of the door.

Hope this helps.

OK thank you, i pligged my RCA's back into the converter and my system is playing fine. i turned down the amp level just to be safe. now when i find the stock amp what do i have to do with that for my highs? cause i want to keep the stock highs..

The stock amp is inside the factory head unit. If you want to keep the stock tweeters, you could try to splice the wires connecting to your converter. Something like this....

First of all, what are you trying to do, and what is your final goal to your stereo install? I'm starting to get a little confussed on your main goal here.:o
