It might be easier over here in the states. 2 of my buddies just came out of service and they both have great careers. Are you looking in Germany or the states?

When i move back to the states i know i'm gonna get into so much trouble with my car, i don't have to worry about how fast i'm going here since the police don't monitor for speeders, they simply put up stationary speed cameras and if you have a GPS it lists their locations and verbally warns you before you come up to one. It's going to kill me to go 65-75mph on the highway when i go back.

Glad to hear Subie owners in Germany are still conversing :)

There where quite a few of us in the Kaiserlautern area when we lived there.

There doesn't seem to be a alot of Subarus in Germany, and the LGT or Spec B is even more rare. In fact I have the only turbo'd legacy iv seen in the area, there is 1 guy with a blue 2.5i but thats it.

I made it to Stuttgart - what a long day.

I'm a sales engineer for a software company, and we are visiting a few Army sites this week.

 Yes... Yes i am! You need to be quick on your feet driving in Germany tho, people here are crazy. never use blinkers, will change lanes into you (i shared half my lane with someone for 2 miles a few days ago until they realized i was there. and when there is a speed camera coming up, everyone will just slam their brakes on all at once to not get flashed. and the thing i hate most is when ya know how in the states we have yellow lines on our left and white lines on our right dictating flow of traffic, well in Germany they don't its just all white lines so if you come up to a street with 3 lanes and traffic flows both ways, no one knows who gets the middle lane or at least i don't! Other than that i love driving here its great!

You will get used to it. Your biggest adjustment when you return will be getting used to the American drivers again. Our standards for allowing people to get drivers licenses are way to low. There are alot of folks out there that cannot safelly operate a car that are on the road in the US.

It's cool. Love the people & attitude. Went to the Porsche museum yesterday. LOVE the drivers. Can't believe how many Mercedes are on the road here - nearly all the taxis seem to be Mercedes. It also seems that every 3rd or 4th car is a Mercedes.

I'm surprised at how many non-hot women live here. :)

It turns out that we get to come home a couple days early. Checking out of the Stuttgart hotel today, 3 customer meetings, Heidelberg tonight and flying out of Frankfurt tomorrow/friday at 0845.

Jetlag caught up with me. Ouch. :)

Yeah its like an orgy of awesome cars here between all the beemers audis porches, and mercs. Also there is 1 taxi company that drives Legacy wagons :D

did you hit up the mercedes museum? i havn't been there but i hear that it makes the porche museum look like a lemon lot.

Next trip. I was told to give that tour 5-6 hours to take it all in. And I will.

Oddly, I find myself wanting a mercedes. Next trip I will ensure that I get one as a rental. However, the Volvo xc60 diesel turbo did just fine on the 170-180 'freeway' driving.

The drive from Stuttgart to Heidelberg was an absolute blast.

Haven't been in Europe since 2006. I missed the people/culture/attitude/lifestyle very much. And yes - I can see us moving. :)
