Once again I'm back trying to get the most sound outta my door speakers. And I found the ultimate solution. It's cheap, light and it produces excellant results.

1 roll of Duct Insulation (12" X 15') - $16 - Home Depot
1 can Multi-Purpuse Adhesive (3M) - $15 - Home Depot or any autoparts store

Duct Insulation - Polyfoam with foil backing.

Door with previous sound dampening.

Took speaker and plastic cover off

Peal the foil off the back and spray adhesive to metal and polyfoam and stick to the inside of door. This reduces distortion from the sound waves bouncing of the metal from inside. Important to get behind the speaker!!

Now cover as much of the door as possible (Leaving the foil on) and seal any gaps for a nice air tight enclousure.

1 roll should cover every door. It's amazing how much cleaner and deeper the sound is without the expenise and weight of those other dampeners.
