Happy B-Day, DM ! :D
I don't know if you remember, bro, but you were one of the ones who gave me a really good, encouraging, word when I was about to tackle the UP/DP on my car. You'd said that it wasn't difficult, just tedious.
I'm still giving that very same advice to other LGT newbies. :)

DM, dang, that's right....it did take you, like, two days, didn't it! :o
That's quite all-right, you should've seen the spread that I made with mine. Every part photographed and labeled - a couple of friends stopped-by (one to help the entire day, the other just to chat for a little), and they both thought it looked like an operating room. Working at my usual snail's pace and with plenty of jacking-off time in-between, I was still able to get her done before sundown....just barely so, though! :D

Well, if you recall, I had a stripped from factory downpipe to midpipe bolt that required me to cut part of the heatshield out and drill through the DP to insert a new bolt. Not to mention I was using a crappy bit that wasn't eating into anything...finally went to buy a titanium one that drilled thru like buttah. Good times.

Cross-threading, 300-pound gorilla torque, beer-cans - it's all part of the "quality build program!"

At least you don't have to worry about it backing out. It's off the car now...it's been off the car....word of advice to anyone thinking of doing a DP, just get a UP at the same time and kill 2 birds blah blah..
