^ Remember, though, they have to be genuine stickers, from Hawk, from the package.

If you get the replica decals/stickers off eBay or something of the like, you'll actually blow up your master cylinder!!!!!!

I don't know if they have the segment online, yet, but the latest issue of Car & Driver has a couple of pages dedicated to that brake mishap they had with the 370Z, at ViR, for this year's "Lightning Lap" event.

I finally got around to reading this month's C&D.

At the time of the incident, the NISMO 370s wore pads by Akebono, a NAO formulation which was designed for low noise and low dust - which is surprising, given the track/sporting orientation of the NISMO package.

Now, all NISMO Zs and the Sport Package equipped 370s can opt for "high performance brake pads," at a cost of an additional $580, which are "low-steel" pads made by Ferodo (Federal Mogul).

Even so, upon revisiting the issue, C&D and their contracted testers still saw significant braking issues, which then prompted a switch-out to ATE Super Blue (in doing so, going from DOT 3 to DOT 4). Even then, fade was not eradicated, and actually still remained problematic, when viewed in comparison to others in its high-performance cohort - an observation which, along with information on other braking hardware and fluids used by various other members of the cohort, C&D then concluded that the issue could simply be one of insufficient heat-dissipation.
