Default Vibration at 70 MPH

Hi,

I have a 97 Subary Legacy GT. At 70 mph I get a slight vibration. I took it to a mechanic and he said that I have to take it to Subaru where they have the proper tools to fix this issue. The issue he said is something with the driveshaft and that there were a message out from Subaru back in the late 90's regarding this issue.

Anyone else had this issue? If so, what should I do?

Martin

Is the vibration felt in the steering wheel or through out the car? Another words, can you fell the vibration through your seat?

Here's a check list before taking it in to the dealer.

Wheels balanced?
Alignment?
Tranny filled and fuild good?
Rear Diff filled and fuild good?
Check tranny, rear diff, and driveshaft for torn or cracked mount bushings?
