Default POS PVC Valve

Notice some oil seeping out from the corner of the I/C, so decided ti investigate. Took the I/C off and found oil inside, found the intake hose and the BPV return hose soaked in oil. Damn PCV valve is toast and it's another stealership part only. Got to love these non-servicable parts from Subaru......NOT! Well at least I know where my oil loss is now, was going through a quart every 3-4 weeks.

Has anyone changed there's yet, I've read on .com they are a beotch to change.

I just removed and cleaned mine yesterday trying to solve the issues of the excessive blow-by carbon build up thread just below this one...

it was a bear to get out, but not as bad as it was to reseat the damn i/c on that stubby t/b boot!

I am now trying to figure out which catch can set up to run... $$$

Just replaced the PCV valve this past weekend, what a PITA to do. Had to disconnect all the hoses attached to the PCV housing and place the housing in a vise just to unscrew it. Couldn't unscrew it while on the car as the hoses would flex and may tear. After connecting the new PCV, I decided to use standard hose clamps for ease of removal next time.

While connecting the hoses back together, I notice the small hose connected directly to the PCV that goes up under the intake manifold may be connected to another PCV? Is that another PCV? It looks exactly like the one I just replaced, or is it just a port for the hose to connect to?

I think it's just a port, but who knows
