SubieChik, you are being too lady like!

People, of you dont like it, say so and move on. No need to flame. She took a chance and did something else, and she likes it, which is what matters.

This thread was to show those who may be considering it what the results may be.

Rant on <

My #1 gripe with a small outspoken minority of the LGT community is that people seem to have endless funds, so when someone doesn't have the $$ to do it all out with top of the line product, and have it professionally installed, they get bashed. Personally, I enjoy working on my own ride and learning about it. Most of the LGT people I have met are great people (but I think that may speak more to Colorado than LGT), but this "if it's not the way we like it, it's wrong" mentality is a bad thing for the LGT community. It's the ones who are willing to reach out and try things that make the breakthroughs. Who knows, her single exhaust may dino better than a megan.

I wish we all had Farmer Johns cash flow, but that is often not the case....

....and I will now dismount my soap box. I love the .org communty for the openness, close friendship and fun spirit, and I hate to see anything, or anyone come in here and be the bull in our porn shop.

>rant off.

I know I am being too lady like which if you really know me is not even like me really. Personally I could give a **** what all of these people think about my exhaust. I paid for my car and I can do whatever the hell I feel like it to it. If you don't like it don't act all butthurt towards me like I just took away your birthday by "making legacy's look bad" or posting pictures of rice. My car in no way shape or form looks riced out and a single exhaust does not change that.

Sometimes I am just nice to save the arguements and squash the drama.

In defense of brother sebberry - he's not a bad guy at all, just vocal about what his beliefs, and opinionated. To me, that's not a bad thing....differing opinions and those who stand firm to their beliefs are all what makes our community great. If we just had a bunch of "me toos," I don't think that things would be very interesting around here, nor would any progress be made.

As with any car-lover, I think that a lot of what we like and don't like simply has to do with our personal tastes. As such, if you post-up about it, you can't just simply accept everyone to say "oh hey, that looks great" or "hey, I wish I'd done that, too." Cars are a passion for us, so expect some heat.

I have a pair of huge canisters on my car, and you know what, not everyone likes that look, and even people I know rather well - and whom I'd call my freinds - from the years we've interacted on .com have said things ranging from "man, those have got to go" to "dude, that's just ricetastic."

Do I mind? To be honest, not really - sure, I value the input of my friends, but I'm also an individual, and my likes and dislikes are unique. I just need to know that when I open the garage door in the morning, I like what I see - and that's all that really matters. No need to get bent-out about it.

SubieChik, as long as you like it, that's all that matters. There's no need to ask us not to hate - we don't really matter all that much.

And certainly, there's no need at all to apologize for not being able to afford top-dollar - sure, a lot of times, more money spent = better products with better results, but that's definitely not always the case. A local with a 500+ wHP STi did a few runs on the dyno, and found that his high-dollar HKS turbo-back was actually choking his setup. A switch-out to a shop-made system - at nearly half-cost of the HKS - uncorked things.

And please, everyone - don't turn this into a .com vs. .org thread. There's plenty here who expressed negative views about sista SubieChik's setup who are .org members ( wasn't RobE one of the ones who posted a rather vehement "banned" thread about .com? ).

I agree with you. I have taken a lot of heat from people my whole life...but I am not one to go and cry about it. I didn't expect everyone to like it because I know there are many people out there that don't, but post I don't like it if you must and move on.

"Everytime I see a muffler like that angled up and to the side I think 16 year old punk with gold chains hanging off his neck, a wife beater shirt and his hat on backward while driving a CRX covered in racing stripes and stickers for parts he doesn't have on the car.

I suggest a little biy of soya sauce to finish the look."

That statement is not really necessary

I goof off all the time with these guys on .com, but for them to come over to .org and not earn the respect of the current members of this site before they post crap like this is wrong in my book. I'm not making this a .com vs .org, just wish they would show some respect before they start the disrespecting.

End of rant - back on subject.
