Default up pipe?

So ive had my car a little over a month now.. and its still STOCK! Looking for a little more sound out of my turbo... have been informed that a "up pipe" will help that... Should I look for a legacy gt aftermarket up pipe or an sti aftermarket up pipe? What am i gaining or losing with the up pipe? im planning on running a cat back agency exhaust when the $ comes... Should i go with all agency parts? or mix match?

The uppipe won't really add any noise. It sits between the exhaust plumbing and the turbo. If your car is an '05, swapping the uppipe may be beneficial due to the lack of a cat converter in said pipe. There have been incidents of the cat coming apart and the turbo eating those parts. Non-goodness.

The OEM STI uppipe is a great alternative, as it's an OEM part, just catless.

I tend to mix and match as I'm a budget modder.

A free method to get some more noise from the intake is to remove the intake silencer, which sits under the stock airbox in the fender well.

Also the turbo should spool 400-500 rpm quicker w/a catless UP.
