08 Legacy Limited
I just purchased a 2008 Legacy Limited with 50k miles, my second Suby, and couldn't be happier. However, 2 days after I picked her up, the airbag light came on in the instrument cluster. Carfax doesn't show any previous accidents or airbag deployment, so I'm wondering if this is a common issue with this model. Any ideas?

Get the code(s) pulled to see what's going on. Autozone will do it for free, Napa will "lend" you their code reader (put down a deposit, use, return, deposit refunded).

No it is not common.
Also most code readers that the auto store chains do not read Airbag codes. Airbag systems are far more complex to diagnose than a check engine light and some of it is manufacturer specific.
