Default Big Turbo Legacy

Ok well i havent posted in a while so ill update everyone on my goal of lots of power.

I drive a 05 legacy 5 speed

Previously i was making 285 whp and 340 wtq (stock turbo 19 psi) with the mods as listed...

Headers, up pipe, down pipe, evo 2 exhaust (all no cats) Cai,bov, turbo inlet hose. Adgile auto custom tune.

Well after about a year i split my intercooler , so i decided no point of replacing with another top mount intercooler, so i got a perrin fmic.

Then i thought no point of a stock turbo with a fmic, so i baught a avo 420 turbo

So i have added these 2 my mod list...

Fmic, avo420 turbo, bigger fuel pump, 850 injectors and aem meth kit.

My new numbers are..... 395 whp, and 380 wtq (no meth) at 25 psi (also adgile tunned)

There were issues with my meth (the empty tank warning light blinked) so i couldnt get it 2 squirt for the dyno run. (i hope to get back up there and get a meth tune)

Other mods i have that arent power related are as followed..

clutch flywheel combo, short shifter, custom guages, perrin radiator hoses, tint, blacked out grill.

Ill post some pics in the morning when i have some good lighting... hope u guys will enjoy.

P.S I know street racing is bad but..... about a week ago i raced a Aston Martin DBS volante and pulled nicely on him and his $286,000 v12 (510 hp) car ($322,000 if was fully loaded). After we raced he said nothing... took his hat of and tiped down his head(to respect the legacy) Subaru power ftw!

WB, couple things. When u say u split your intercooler u mean your stocker came apart @ the endtanks?

Also what headers r u runnin? Also I'm pretty sure u coulda ran an AVO or Perrin TMIC w/the 420.

Yes i split my intercooler at the endtanks.

I have the gt spec 2 header.

Ya i am kinda pissed i baught this turbo 2 be honest, dont get me wrong its a nice turbo for a stock mounting position. but just was very exspensive and can only do so much power.

Id sell the turbo if i found a buyer, and get a gt35 (my power needs i think are gonna be closer to 475)

p.s turbo has under 3000 miles on it, if anyone is interested id sell for 1500 (500 off)

Taking down a v12 six figure$ car in the legacy is awesome! At least the Aston owner showed you a sign of respect. Though I hear after getting beat he has plans of putting a supercharger on his v12 .

Reading all of these power mods between member journal's makes me want to mod like it was yesterday. I still have 30k left on my bumper-to-bumper warranty which is very valuable to me. Touching the engine bay wouldn't be too smart, especially with anything that has to do with the turbo, such as MBC. I will be anxiously awaiting 85k mark, moreso every week.

Great number's, and good luck with the GT35 turbo!

What was your injector duty cycle at 25psi with the 850s? I can't get over 22psi on my 816s burning 91 without getting close to 100% duty cycle.

As an aside, isn't it fun making some good power?

Im not sure what my duty cycle was, i am burning 93 octane and a smaller turbo then u... so im guesing i got some cushon on my injectors.

It is fking awesome making good power..... but its never enough. I dont even have 3000 miles on my new turbo and i want a gt35 (yes i know gt35 is a overkill but who know what ill eventually do to the block and i dont wana have 2 buy a 3rd turbo eventually)

The 400 hp & tq numbers were from a dyno dynamics, the 435 hp / 464 tq were from a mustang.
