90 legacy wont start

hi,my son has a 90 legacy 2.2.the pulley for the alt and ps came loose and chewed up the pulley and the key.we had to take the serpentine pulley off the crank so we could change the key.the crank turned while we took the pulley off.we got the timing marks at the top with the key for the pulley at the top.got the belt on and tried to start it.the engine turns over but wont fire.could the crank be off 180 or 360 degrees off?thanks for any help.tim.
