What kind of hp figures do you see when you turn the boost to 15 or 16 psi as was done in the write-up?

No idea. I've not dynoed/raced the car. Boost builds quicker, and you'll get 'part throttle full boost' due to the ECU & BCS being out of the loop.

The ECU will compensate for the add'l airflow, as it reads a number of sensors when computing IPW. TPS is only 1. MAF, MAP, RPM, O2 sensors, etc... I've had a similar setup (same mbc) on my last few cars & it's not been an issue. No wideband in the car yet, but the plugs look great.
