Default Rookie move.

Last night I checked my oil level and notice it was a little low. So, I reached for my oil container and started pouring it in. All of a sudden I notice the oil was pouring like water with a slight tint green to it. Pulled it back and took a good sniff of the stuff. OH , I grabbed the wrong oil container. The container I grabbed was the one I put my used coolant in. I poured about 1/2 a quart of used coolant into the oil pan.

It was late last night and none of the stores were open, so I had to ask the my lady to take me to work today until I had time to buy a flush and new oil. Couldn't of manage what would have happen if I drove to work today with smoke pouring out of my exhaust.

Lessen learned, place all USED fluids on the oppisite side of the garage.

All fixed. Nice thing about the coolant is it's heavier than oil, so when I pulled the plug most of the coolant came out first. Re-plugged and added 1 quart of 0w-20 (it's thin and helps to flush out the old stuff in the oil pan), let it sit for 5 mins, then drained. Added fresh new oil and all good again.

Rookie move or Dookie move? Glad to hear it was an easy fix.

I like that! Anyone that screws up is now making a Dookie move.
