Well the stock seats will go into storage with all my other stock parts...small mountain now...I cant throw car parts out.

Well I bought the following last week:

2009 STI LONG RATIO SIX SPEED DCCD Box
Shifter/Gearboot and Knob
Modified Tail shaft and Matching Rear Diff
Plus Starter Motor and Clutch Fork

It does not come with a controller for the DCCD so I have purchased the DCCDPro controller on the advice of Doug at STechnic. He showed me this system in one of his clients cars last year. Does a much better job than the stock controller he tells me...should be fun times. http://dccdpro.com/zcart/index.php?main ... ducts_id=2

I have a number of mods planned to go on at the same time as the box upgrade...these include new BBK-M turbo (TD05-18G), PW CAI, Perrin Intake Pipe, new BOV plumbed back, some Cusco bracing for the steering rack and rear.

Once all of this is done then clearly it will be time to get the car on the dyno and re-tune.

I'm for it and in fact I have a set of smoked tints for both the headlights and taillights. Finding time to do it has been the issue for me

Well it took a week but it happened...big changes

I will just leave this here for now. New seats are so good to sit in. The gearbox and dccdpro controller are fully operational and the BBK-M turbo is in. Sean cleaned up the tune, made sure there was no spiking and wound back the boost a bit but holy **** it pulls pretty hard in the short bit of driving I did on the way home. More tuning will need to be done next due to running out of time. Hoping to get up before the sun tomorrow and give it a better test. Wow what a transformation. I think I will likely install the PW CAI as well.
If you bought a BBK-M then you should rest assured you will be happy imo.

Next mod arrived involves more engine cooling...52mm thick aluminum radiator
I also have an AOS to go in as well next week. Then some more tuning.

How much resonance/boom is there at constant-throttle highway cruise?

There is very little resonance at constant throttle cruising due the tuning that has been done specifically with the AVCS tables

under bonnet pics now that the new 52mm thick aluminum radiator and S2 AOS are installed...still looks reasonably oem and one of the reasons I opted not to install the PW CAI
